Sweet Marjoram - Origanum majorana

FOR ANYTHING ITALIAN
Marjoram is a popular culinary herb, that is part of the famous mixed herbs "Herbes de Provence". Goes very well with meats, stuffing's, and tomato dishes. Leaves can be cut and hung up to dry or used fresh. Prefers full sun. Perennial. 30cm.

Marjoram Acorn Bank - Origanum vulg aureum 'Acorn Bank'

Smaller plant with golden green leaves. Is a good culinary herb. Likes full sun and free draining soil. Good for greek and Italian dishes. Nice tidy mounding plant.

Marjoram Gold Tipped

Beautiful culinary her that is not sure if it should be gold or green. At the beginning of the growing season the leaves have a distinctive gold tip or edge to them. This can be used as you would use any of the Marjoram's.

Marshmallow - Althea officinalis

Marshmallow is a rather popular herb with its delicate light pink flower. Marshmallow root was originally used to make the sweet marshmallow although marshmallow is now made with a sugar mix. Marshmallow dies down in winter but it comes up year after year. It is easy to grow, but it prefers a rather damp spot as the name suggests. Perennial. 50cm.

Motherwort - Leonurus cardiaca

FOR THE FEMALES
Motherwort was tradittionally used as a supportive aid for promoting the flow of milk in nursing mothers. It is a mild and relaxing her and has been used to assist with menapause discomfort. It is advised to not use this herb while pregant as it supports menstrual flow.Lovely plant that grows to about 80cm in summer.

Mugwort - Artemisia vulgaris

Mugwort is most commonly known for the effect it has on your dreams. If you drink mugwort tea, or make a pillow out of the dried leaves you will apparently dream a lot more. We are yet to try this. It is easy to grow and should reach 1m or taller with very little care. Perennial.

Myrtle "Glanleam Gold" - Myrtus 'Glanleam gold'

Variegated form of Myrtle. Deep green leaves rimmed with a bright gold. These slow growing shrubs have a pompom white flower and edible berries. Makes a good mid size hedging plant. Leaves can be used as a substitute for Bay leaves.

Golden Oregano - Origanum vulgare'Aureum'

Golden Oregano is a wonderful plant in the garden with its small gold leaves which grow close to the ground and form a thick mound. The leaves can be used the same as the other oreganos. It grows easily in the garden and can tolerate both hot and cold weather.

This oregano has a slighly smaller leaf and a very strong scent. Giving the impression that the flavour is a little more concentrated.

Variegated Oregano - Origanum majorana 'Variegata'

Variegated oregano is an attractive variety of regular oregano. The leaves have yellow-white edges which make it a really nice looking plant. Variegated oregano can be used the same as regular oregano, so it is fantastic on pizza and in Italian cooking. Will spread on the ground into a nice mat. Perennial. 20cm.

Parsley Italian - Petroselinum hortense

Italian parsley is often more popular with chefs rather than the curly variety because the flavor is 'smoother'. The flavor is perhaps a little stronger then regular curly parley, and it is great used as a garnish. Parsley has a high vitamin c content. Very easy to grow in the garden. Biennial. 50cm.

Pennyroyal - Mentha pulegium

Pennyroyal is a low growing herb, with a really nice scent. Pennyroyal will grow taller if left to grow, but if mowed it will form a delicious smelling mat. Popular in a lawn, but be careful if it gets into your pasture, as it can spread quite a bit. Pennyroyal is used to promote menstrual flow, but only use on the advice of a registered herbalist.

Blue Lagoon Rosemary

Blue lagoon is an upright rosemary which is very good for hedging. The leaves can be used like most rosemary's, so it is good with lamb and roast vegetables. Absolutely covered in flowers between spring and autumn. Perennial. 60cm.

This is an upright growing rosemary with yellow edged leaves. Makes a spectacular hedge. The leaves can be used like common rosemary. Perennial. 1.5m.

Gorizia Rosemary - Rosmarinus officinalis'Gorizia

This is a giant Rosemary. Can grow to close on 2m. The leaves are long, broad & flat & double the size of other Rosemary's.  The stems grow  thick and are very upright  It is very free flowering once established and has light blue flowers in late spring & summer. The scent is gentle, sweet, & slightly gingery. Makes a wonderful hedge. Leaves can be used fresh or dried. Hang some branches in your kitchen for drying and enjoy the fresh aroma it imparts in the process.

Prostrate rosemary is the same as common rosemary except for its growing habit. Prostrate rosemary creeps along the ground rather then growing upright. This makes it fantastic for covering a bank or a large area. Very attractive plant with a nice rosemary scent. Perennial. 30cm.

Rosemary Pink Rememberance

PINK TO MAUVE FLOWERS.
Sprawling Rosemary good for filling in an otherwise bare corner. Seems to have a semi prostrate habit. Is stunning with its display of unusual colored flowers. If it gets too big, cut some back and use for the lamb roast. We often trim this one and dry the branches in the café so it imparts it delicious scent through the room.

Rue is a very attractive garden herb, which looks fantastic when used as a border. The blue-green unusual shaped leaves contrast nicely with other plants in the garden. It makes a good insect repellent and deters dogs and cats. Perennial. 50cm.
